The Skinny on ImageReady

What is ImageReady and where can I get it?

Well, in most recent versions of Photoshop, you should receive ImageReady too. It's simply a end-tool to finalize your graphics and make them web-worthy. To find out if you have ImageReady, open Photoshop's main folder and there should be an Adobe ImageReady application right in that folder.

So, I have it, but why do I need it?

ImageReady picks up where Photoshop stops when it comes to Web-Authoring. What I mean is, is that ImageReady automatically changes the color of your image to web-safe colors. Plus, with a matter of minutes, you can have professional-looking image maps, animated gifs, and other assorted graphics to make your site stand out from the crowd.

So, I don't have it, so how do I get it?

Well, older verisons of Photoshop didn't carry ImageReady with it. You should contact Adobe at http://www.adobe.com/support/main.html. I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but if you are using Photoshop for a lot of things, maybe its time update...
